She’s got her hair done right. She’s got a big, big night. Put on her face and fancy clothes.
She’s in a traffic jam. She says, “I am, I am.” But nobody cares about her on the road.

Verse 2
And she ponders how it’s such a different crowd - how even if their faces wind up all the same:
right now, they’d cut her low, yet in an hour or so they’ll be cheerin’ loud and callin’ out her name.
