A ballad of Billy Joel proportions, “Allegiance to Love” is a song about the emotional struggles often faced by lovers in the military. In this fully produced studio version, Jessica Leia presents her song with conviction as she expresses this struggle admirably in her vocals and pulls off some pretty fancy finger work on the keys. Written in a 12/8 time, this song is drenched with tasty drum fills and well-chosen bass lines. Throw in a little velvety, electric guitar and you’ve got a piece that will move you while you listen to Jessica sing about the angst that comes from knowing your lover may be heading off to war.
